Gabriel Gasparinatos is a filmmaker in Sydney.

Gabriel’s directed commercial and music projects for Beats By Dre, Adidas, Google, Julia Stone, ONEFOUR, Baker Boy and many more.

He’s been nominated for two ARIA Awards, Best Direction in a Debut Feature at the ADG Awards, Best Emerging Director at the 44th Award Awards, won one Cannes Bronze Lion, some Spikes and a CLIO.

Gabriel’s debut feature documentary ONEFOUR: Against All Odds launched worldwide on Netflix in October 2023. The film is a co-production between Entropico & Stranger Than Fiction, produced by Erin Moy, Sarah Noonan and Jennifer Peedom.

Critic Margaret Pomeranz described it as an incendiary and powerful film that provokes both outrage and compassion. A cautionary tale for those of us opposed to censorship and discriminatory police powers.

Beyond directing, Gabriel annually guest lectures at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and actively mentors emerging Western Sydney film creatives through programs with Apple, Street University and Music NSW.
